Team MoWE taking part in World Water Week in Stockholm. A team of senior officials and experts of MoWE led by H.E. Amb. Asfaw Dingamo is participating in the 2022 World Water Conference that began on the 23rd of August in Stockholm, Sweden. During a panel discussion held in the conference, H.E. Amb. Asfaw Dingoma briefed the audience about the status of WASH implementation, future areas of support needed from the world bank, capacity issues related to water sector and the private sectors, and key challenges in the sector. The World Water Week 2022 conference has started on the 23rd of August and will end in the 1st of September. The Theme of this year is Seeing Unseen: the value of Water. This year’s World Water Week offers more than 300 sessions on a broad range of issues which comprises water related topics, food security and health, agriculture, technology, biodiversity and climate crisis. The participants are drawn from government organizations, Development partners, Civil Society organizations, private sectors and the academics. The World Water Week is the leading conference on global water issues, held every year since 1991 and organized by Stockholm International Water Institute (SIWI) in Stockholm, Sweden. The week attracts a diverse mix of participants from a variety of professional background and every corner of the world.
