Minister received the World Bank Country Director

Minister Dr. eng. Habtamu Itefa received Mr. Ousmane Dione country director of World Bank in Ethiopia at his office.

The Minister and the Director General discussed agreed to work together on renewable energy development, drinking water supply and sanitation.

The minister, who acknowledged the World Bank's support to increase access to safe drinking water in rural and urban areas, said that the government is committed to utilizing water, sanitation, sanitation and irrigation development projects in Ethiopia.

He said the world Bank has provided financial support for renewable energy development and water supply, noting that Ethiopia's efforts to become an East African power pool are exemplary, "We want to work together to make the energy supply plan to become real.

The director also said World Bank would like to invest on power generation, transmission, distribution in the county and region.

The Minister and Director General also discussed drought, floods prevention, groundwater study in Ethiopia and urban drainage system.
